Wil Sharpe, President & CEO Wil Sharpe has been making a mark in the music business since the guitarist/lead singer landed his first production deal with RCA Records when he was a senior in high school. While his bands — Ethos and Atlantis — recorded albums and toured the nation, the entrepreneurial-minded Sharpe also attended college and founded Theatre Arts Concerts Inc., a concert production company he ran with fellow Indiana native and current industry mogul Kevin Wall. After years of touring with his band, Sharpe decided to focus his efforts on the business side of the music industry. He parlayed his experience in concert production into a successful career as president/CEO of Showco Inc. Under his team leadership, he resuscitated the firm and turned it into one of the largest pro-audio and general contracting companies for live music with superstar clients, including The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, George Michael, R.E.M., Aerosmith, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Prince, Bon Jovi and many more. During Sharpe’s tenure, Showco expanded by launching Vari-Lite, the automated lighting company. After selling his interest in Showco/Vari-Lite, Sharpe partnered with established manager and esteemed film music supervisor Budd Carr to form Carr/Sharpe Entertainment. He is currently the president/CEO of Sharpe Entertainment Services, Inc., an artist management firm that has represented Kansas, Fishbone, Asia, K’s Choice, Slaughter, Steel Pulse, the members of Jellyfish, PJ Olsson, international star Sarah Bettens and many others. During the past three years, he has also produced 87 shows throughout the U.S. for the Popsmear Foundation’s Yellow Umbrella Tour, where artists’ voices unite to raise awareness about cervical cancer.
